The webinar is targeted for Finnish companies that have solutions to decarbonize industries and want to gain understanding about the overall situation and the market opportunities in Poland, and for everyone else interested in the subject.
Poland is an industrialised country, with high level of emission from industry as compared to other European economies. The reasons are e.g., heavy fossils dependence and low energy and materials efficiency in production plants. Lots of Polish production is exported so the pressure to decarbonize comes from the consumers and international partners, which strive to reduce their carbon footprint and therefore demand certain emission reductions from their suppliers.
Points of interest and solutions wanted in Poland are:
- RES & waste heat utilisation
- alternative methods of production to reduce energy consumption in processes
- process optimisation and advanced control
- general interest in innovations in production
- waste management and circular solutions
- in longer perspective larger players consider CO2 capture and utilisation
Funds for the theme of industrial energy efficiency and circularity of materials are provided in Poland from various sources including RRF, the implementation of which starts now and upcoming new allocation of funding from structural funds. Other instruments applicable specifically for decarbonisation are Innovation Fund, Just Transition Fund and Modernisation Fund.
