Business Finland's Decarbonizing Industries program is hosting a series of online meet the buyer meetings for Finnish companies interested in the German market in steel sector. These meetings will foster fruitful business collaborations for Finnish companies and establish direct contacts with relevant counterparts.
Industrial production represents more than a third of Germany’s economy. Industries such as steel, basic metal, and chemical build the backbone of German industry and account for about 20–30 percent of all CO2 emissions in Germany.
Germany has already set targets and taken many steps in terms of emission reduction, but future decarbonization opportunities are generated by the current geopolitical context and the aims to reduce emissions. Investments up to EUR 75 billion by 2050 are awaited in steel and chemical industries alone.

Practicalities
1-hour one-to-one discussions with the German companies are organized via Teams in autumn 2023. There is a limited number of slots to this event, and the meetings will be allocated on first come first served basis.
After registering for the event, we will ask you to fill in your company’s offering to a one-pager template that our consultant partner will utilize in contacting suitable companies and creating the business matches. The registered companies will get a detailed schedule of their meetings. Please note, that we cannot guarantee one-to-one meetings to every participant.
