Transition to the circular economy in the wind industry requires close collaboration between industry, policymakers, and knowledge institutes.

In this workshop we’ll dive into the following topics:

  1. “Lessons learned” from the Netherlands how around 200 stakeholders worked together drafting a proposal to Dutch authorities on how circularity in the wind industry can be improved;

  2. How circularity was included in offshore wind farm tender criteria and;

  3. How the industry responded to meet those criteria.

After these inspirational insights and keeping in mind that 30% of tender points should come from non-price criteria, we will brainstorm together (in smaller groups) on how to improve the circularity in the Finnish wind sector.

Target group: Companies who are interested in learning more regarding the circularity of wind power. Knowledge institutions, industry/developers, and authorities/policy makers.

The workshop is organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Finland together with co-hosts Business Finland and the Finnish Wind Power Association (Suomen Tuulivoimayhdistys).

The workshop will be led by Nina Vielen-Kallio from a Dutch consultancy company ECHT.
