The Team Finland Network will organize a business delegation visit to Washington D.C. on 16-20 of October 2023 with focus on critical technology areas vital to US national security, in particular in the themes of trusted AI and autonomy, space technologies and cyber.
The goal of this visit is to get an understanding of the needs amongst the US military as well as the local defense companies and make Finnish solutions known to them. The program will comprise of a seminar as well as visits and meetings with relevant US stakeholders.
Kindly note that participation is limited to 30 companies on a first come – first served basis. Also note that the local hosts may limit the number of delegates to meetings.
Preliminary program
To meet the needs of the business delegation, the program will be carried out in two different tracks: there will be a separate Space Theme for certain visits and a separate event for companies interested specifically in land capabilities. The delegation will be divided accordingly for these events.
Who should attend?
This visit is aimed for Finnish companies that provide solutions, equipment, systems, and technologies in the above-mentioned technology areas.
Participation fee
To cover the expenses of arranging the program in Washington D.C., Business Finland will charge a participation fee of:
- Major companies: EUR 1750 + 24% VAT per person
- SME's and Micro businesses: EUR 1490 + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights, accommodation, meals and transportation outside the business delegation program.
