Business Finland’s Low carbon built environment program is organizing a trade mission to the Netherlands (Amsterdam) on 7-9 November, 2023.
The trade mission is a continuation of the successful trade mission to Rotterdam in May 2023 and is aimed at Finnish companies who wish to develop their business opportunities in the Dutch construction and real-estate sector.
By joining the trade mission, you will:

- identify opportunities for your product and / or service
- meet valuable contacts and expand your network.
Why the Netherlands?
The Netherlands is the European front runner in implementing circular economy and transitioning various industries to more sustainable, planet-proof practices.
In the construction sector major themes are:
- climate positive construction,
- sustainable materials,
- energy transition,
- healthy building and living,
- transformative construction.
We see that progress in these fields is ongoing and that innovative concepts are being introduced at increasing speed. The market is also preparing for a regulative framework for circular construction.

Program
The two-and-half-day programcontains:
- group meetings with leading Dutch market players: developers, contractors, investors, designers;
- a networking event for Finnish and Dutch professionals and industry stakeholders;
- the possibility for one-to-one meetings.
Companies joining the mission are invited to express their wishes concerning companies to visit and to share their local contacts.
Who should attend?
The visit is aimed for Finnish companies that have export solutions for low-carbon built environment and want to pursue the Netherlands as a strategic market or partner. The participating companies should have products/solutions/services for:
- energy efficiency and the optimization of energy use,
- low carbon building materials,
- digital design, construction, and operation processes,
- data and tools for managing both the built environment life cycle and smooth everyday life,
- fast & sustainable building; modularity, hybrid building.
Kindly note that participation is limited to 10 companies on a first come - first served basis.
Practicalities
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit, Business Finland will charge a participation fee.
- Micro Businesses and SMEs: 750 EUR + 24% VAT per person
- Major Companies: 880 EUR + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the participant nor meals outside the business delegation program.
