Business Finland and the Embassy of Finland in Prague invite Finnish companies to join the Finnish automotive trade mission to the Czech Republic. As a part of the trade mission’s program, Finnish companies will join the CEE Automotive Supply Chain 2023 event in Olomouc – one of the major automotive industry gatherings in Central and Eastern Europe region.
With its favorable location, good infrastructure and skilled workforce, the Czech Republic plays a significant role in the automotive industry. In per-capita terms, it is a leading producer of buses and ranks second in the world in passenger car production. Presence of three major automotive OEMs – and approximately 800 companies involved in the industry offers a number of collaboration opportunities within different parts of the automotive value chain and R&D, as well as within factory optimization processes.
Last year, the governmental Czech Mobility Innovation Hub program was launched to support the mobility of the future. The Mobility Innovation Hub focuses on the areas of smart factory, e-mobility, alternative drive systems, autonomous driving and digitalization.
Finnish companies with offering for the automotive industry can find a number of business opportunities on the Czech, but also neighbouring Slovak and Polish automotive markets. There is potential for providers of technologies for the automotive production plants, but also for automotive parts manufacturers.
CEE Automotive Supply Chain 2023 is a conference, exhibition and B2B brokerage event organized by key organizations of the Czech and Slovak automotive industry. Each year, the event hosts scouts and buyers from automotive OEMs and tier 1 suppliers. Example companies represented during last editions include Jaguar Land Rover, KIA, SKODA Auto, Volvo Cars, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Brose, Forvia, Schaeffler. Read more about the event

Practicalities
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit to the Czech Republic on 23-25 October 2023, Business Finland will charge a participation fee.
- Micro Businesses and SMEs: 785 EUR + 24% VAT per person
- Major Companies: 925 EUR + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the participant nor meals outside the business delegation program.
