Business Finland is organizing offshore wind and ports fact finding visit to Esbjerg, Denmark on 14 February, 2024.
Wind power growth in Finland and its neighbors is creating business opportunities but is also causing some challenges to ports. There will be hubs around Baltic sea where offshore wind parks and ports can have various roles.
Port of Esbjerg is the world’s largest base port for offshore wind activities and a front runner in the European offshore wind sector. Participating companies will learn and see in practice how offshore wind operations work in Esbjerg. The program includes a tour of the port and meeting with companies operating in the area.
The fact finding visit is aimed at Finnish ports (management and owners), regional development and city representatives who have a role in developing ports and offshore as well as companies that have solutions for ports.
To cover the expenses of arranging the fact finding visit program, the organizers will charge a participation fee.
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the delegation program.
