Developing Markets Platform at Business Finland in collaboration with Embassy of Finland in Rome and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will organize a procurement event on 13 March 2024 at Team Finland House in Helsinki.

FAO is the largest UN specialized agency in terms of membership. It operates in more than 130 countries to achieve global food security. FAO compiles, analyzes, and disseminates normative information on food security, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and rural issues. It also carries out development and humanitarian work. Annually, FAO procures more than USD 150 million of goods and services.

The focus of the event is put on raising awareness of how FAO procures and what kind of needs they have in terms of ICT. During the day FAO will learn Finnish know-how, and companies have also a great possibility to showcase their solutions and expertise in one-to-ones with this UN organization.
