The Team Finland network together with the Finnish Defense and Aerospace Industries (PIA) is organizing a business delegation visit to the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting and exposition (AUSA) in Washington D.C. on 13 - 16 of October 2024. The delegation is led by Mr. Olli Ruutu, Acting National Armaments Director, Ministry of Defence.
The Association of the United States Army’s Annual Meeting and Exposition (AUSA) is the largest land power exposition and professional development forum in North America, taking place on October 14-16, 2024 in Washington D.C. Read more about why attend the event here.
AUSA will attract thousands of US companies and it is an excellent platform to meet them. The delegation will visit AUSA and meet exhibiting US companies as well as governmental authorities. The program will consist mostly of delegation group meetings at AUSA. Further, the program will be updated according to the interests and goals of the participating companies.
Participating as part of the official delegation will facilitate getting high quality meetings and attention to the products and services Finland can offer. The organizers are looking for meetings with both industrial as well as defense administration stakeholders.
Kindly note that participation is limited to max. 8 companies on a first come – first served basis. However, there is a possibility for two representatives per company to join but note that only one company representative can join the meetings at a time, thus there is a possibility to alternate the participation, as the local hosts may limit the number of delegates to meetings. Each company representative needs to individually register for the visit.
Please note that upon registration for the visit, you will also need to fill out questions related to your company’s relevant offering.
This visit is aimed for Finnish companies which already has prospects in the US and can provide products and services to the US Army either thru an integrator or directly. High technology solutions enabling superior capabilities for the warfighter are of particular interest.
To cover the expenses of arranging the program in Washington D.C., Business Finland will charge a participation fee of:
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights, accommodation, meals and transportation outside the business delegation program.
Note also that the participation fee does not include the ticket to AUSA, hence each company representative should register for the event separately and choose which ticket type/membership is the most suitable. The ticket sale for AUSA will open in July.
