Business Finland’s Low-carbon built environment export campaign is organizing a trade mission to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates during 29 September – 3 October 2024. The purpose of the trade mission is to identify business collaboration opportunities for Finnish companies and get direct contacts in the Saudi Arabian and UAE markets. During this trade mission, Business Finland will organize group meetings with the key companies of the countries’ construction markets, sales pitch opportunities, individual B2B meetings and networking events.

The visit is aimed for Finnish companies that offer solutions for the low-carbon built environment and are interested in exploring the Middle East as a strategic market or in finding local partners.

The participating companies should have products/solutions/services for:

  • Energy Efficiency and Optimization: Solutions for improving energy efficiency and optimizing energy use.
  • Low Carbon Building Materials: Innovative materials that reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects.
  • Digital Design and Construction Processes: Building Information Modeling (BIM), advanced construction techniques, and efficient operation processes.
  • Lifecycle Management Tools: Data and tools for managing the entire lifecycle of the built environment and enhancing everyday life.
  • Fast and Sustainable Building: modularity and hybrid building for fast and sustainable construction.

Why Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Middle East and Africa, and one of the fastest-growing G20 economies in 2022. The government has set ambitious targets under the Vision 2030 to deliver a new urban future through housing, smart cities and infrastructure projects. The construction market size is expected to reach US$ 831.5 billion in 2026.

Participation fee

To cover the expenses of arranging the visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates during 29 September - 3 October 2024 Business Finland will charge a participation fee:

  • Micro businesses and SMEs: 1360 EUR + 25,5% VAT per person
  • Major companies: 1600 EUR + 25,5% VAT per person

Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the delegation program.
