Welcome to participate and deepen your knowledge! During the two-day in-person workshop we will discuss and learn about US governmental acquisition practices in the defense and marine industry. The focus will be on export control, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and how to approach US Government Request for Proposals (RFP’s).
The workshop is a continuation on the March 4th 2025 The US Governmental Defense and Maritime Industry Acquisition Practices Workshop in Helsinki. The upcoming workshop will provide a deeper insight into the governmental acquisition protocol. The workshop is organized as of the request of the industry.
The two days’ workshop is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, 18 and 19 August, 2025 at Team Finland House, Porkkalankatu 1, Helsinki. The workshop is organized by Business Finland’s GIPP 2 project and ICE Pact Export Booster which aim to accelerate growth for Finnish industry in the US market.
The workshop will be facilitated by Ness Sea Consulting, Seattle, United States. Ness Sea works at the intersection of maritime and high tech, helping clients navigate the elusive of bringing new technology to the blue economy, from the bottom of the ocean floor to the many verticals of commercial shipping and maritime defense.
