According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the number of nights spent by visitors was 15 per cent higher in the whole country and 72 per cent higher in Uusimaa in September 2022 than one year earlier.
In total, 1.45 million overnight stays were recorded for resident visitors and 0.40 million for non-resident visitors. The number of overnight stays by non-resident visitors was almost double compared to the previous year. Russians made up the largest group of foreign visitors with around 50,000 overnight stays.

The average price of a hotel room was EUR 114, having been EUR 100 one year earlier. Hotel rooms were most expensive in Pirkanmaa, EUR 126, and in Uusimaa, EUR 125.
