Companies exporting food and beverages to China – remember new requirements

China requires companies to register their products and label packages according to the renewed regulations. Get to know with the requirements, guidelines, and watch info sessions. New regulations have been effective since 1 January 2022.

Companies should follow Finnish food authority and Finnish custom's process and policy as usual; it is also mandatory to comply the recent registration policy. The Registration Administration of Overseas Manufactures of Imported Foods (Decree 248) and Administrative Measures on Safety of Import and Export Food (Decree 249) published by General Administration of Customs in China are applied to all manufactures overseas, it is recommended by Finnish authority to reserve time for the processing of self-application through CIFER system and approval shall be granted by GACC.

Under these two Decrees, all companies importing food into China, especially the manufactures of imported foods, need to comply with the new requirements by 1 January 2022.
