19:00 Meeting in conference centre, deck 9 (with luggage), Viking Line presentation and ship inspection

10:00 Guided tour in Turku with Magni Mundi, along the riverbanks, including visits at Turku Cathedral & Luostarinmäki. Tour partly done by foot. (NB: If weather permits)
13:00 Lunch at Restaurant Oobu (afterwards, short walk from the restaurant to the nearby hotel)
The archipelago is back in town. Restaurant OOBU serves fresh archipelago dishes in the middle of Turku, in the traditional Bassi house. Fish, lamb and vegetables in various forms, honouring traditions, while making use of the newest kitchen know-how. Goodies that nourish the soul as well as the body.

15:30 Afternoon Tea the Finnish way at cosy Café Qwensel 
Since 2011, entrepreneur, restaurateur and vocational teacher Kaisa Takala has been operating a cafe located in the pharmacy museum courtyard, in the heart of Turku city. Kaisa's business, Nanna's Co, aims to create exceptional customer experiences by providing first class customer service and high-quality handmade treats including sweet and savory pies, donuts, juice, coffee and tea (the latter ones served in lovely old pots).​​

Solo Sokos Hotel Turun Seurahuone is an elegant and lively boutique hotel in the centre of Turku. A classic that's full of surprises, brought from the 1920s into the modern age. The work of interior designer Jaakko Puro as well as the vibrant 1920s can be seen throughout our hotel. Each room is unique in size and decor. Get ready for a stay in our atmospheric hotel that will please the senses.

The head chef of Smör, Mikko Pakola, states that maximizing taste and minimizing wastage is the basis and gist of everything that is done in the kitchen. Therefore, all raw materials are equally important and should end up on the plate. For its customers, Smör desires to offer an all-encompassing experience: something to spark up conversation, to be remembered, and eventually, something that makes you come back time and again.
After dinner we have a short walk to the hotel. Sleep well & see you tomorrow!

09:10 Visit & small tasting tour at the Market Hall 
The Turku Market Hall was opened to public in the centre of Turku in 1896 and it is the second oldest in Finland. The hall is designed by architect and professor Gustaf Nyström and the roof structure and the wooden parts of the shops along the corridors are original. The shops in the market hall range from the oldest ones in Turku to brand new. They offer a wide selection of delicacies, but also the building itself is worth visiting. It is a gem of Finnish building tradition and in the highest protection class as a highly valuable cultural historical site.

The tour focuses on the fresh and surprising character of Helsinki. Savotta is a Finnish restaurant which offers genuine Finnish food and atmosphere, just off the Senate Square in the heart of Helsinki. The name Savotta means a logging site. Therefore the interior decoration and dishes has got inspiration of the Finnish forests and thousands of lakes, with a dash of Finnish nostalgy from the past decades and logging traditions. Savotta's kitchen cherishes the Finnish food tradition. We use only Finnish ingredients from the pristine forests and lakes and from carefully selected small suppliers.
