Business Finland Future study report: Growth opportunities in extended reality 

A warm welcome to the national info session, which will focus on the EU Innovation Fund calls for 2025 (with DL in 2026)

The Team Finland network, in cooperation with Savon Yrittäjät, is pleased to invite Finnish companies to join a visit to Poland focusing on comprehensive security and energy transition. The visit will take place from 25 to 28 January 2026, and is led by Mr. Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland. 

The President of the Republic has granted the annual internationalisation awards to three companies and one community. Orion Corporation won the 2025 Growth Company Award. The Newcomer Company Award went to Sensofusion, and Sandvik Mining and Construction was recognised as the Long-term International Investor. The year’s Community Award was granted to the Finnish Startup Community.

Business Finland has granted an investment grant for the Novana Oy´s project to build the world's first carbon-neutral vanadium production plant in Tahkoluoto, Pori. As part of the government's industrial policy measures, Business Finland is accelerating industrial investments industrial aligned with the clean transition. Investment grants totaling €311 million has been awarded in 2025. The processing of tax credit applications is currently underway, with the total amount of applied credits just under €3 billion.

The United States is the largest and most popular export target for the health technology sector, says Tarja Enala from Business Finland. Although US policy is in a state of flux, cooperation with big players such as the Mayo Clinic, which has been chosen as the best hospital in the world, is seen as worth pursuing.

Business Finland and IITP (Institute for Information Communication Technology Planning and Evaluation) are organizing a call for submissions for joint projects in 6G between Finland and South Korea.

Business Finland's renewed organization will start on January 1, 2026, with the beginning of a new strategy period.

NestAI, a rapidly growing European physical AI lab, builds next-generation AI across domains such as logistics, inspection, surveillance, security and defence. NestAI’s core is its open, modular, and interoperable platforms for unmanned systems and command and control (C2). NestAI initiated the development in early 2025, with instrumental support from Business Finland, which enabled building the first working prototypes.
