In this session, technology market research company IDTechEx will present their analysis of the rapidly evolving heavy-duty market.

There is now widespread recognition that low emission technologies are required to power future on-road heavy-duty vehicles. National net-zero carbon emission targets and policies to limit the exhaust emission of hazardous local air pollutants within urban environments, will increasingly drive the phasing out of diesel engines as the power source for heavy-duty buses and trucks. With governments and major corporations pledging to reduce their climate impact heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers have taken notice and are investing heavily in the development of new powertrain technologies that will enable their customers to reduce the carbon footprint of their fleets.

Agenda

The webinar starts at 11.00 (Finnish time).

In this session, technology market research company IDTechEx will present their analysis of the rapidly evolving heavy-duty market, including detail on:

  • Emerging powertrain technologies for heavy-duty truck and city bus applications, with particular focus on battery electric and fuel cell electric solutions, but with comment on other technology avenues including hybrid powertrains and hydrogen combustion
  • The challenges facing zero-emission heavy-duty vehicle deployment, and how this affects powertrain choice
  • OEM and supplier activity, the current market for zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles and detail on the addressable market in key regions
  • IDTechEx’s outlook for zero-emission heavy-duty vehicle uptake

There will also be time for a Q&A at the end of the session.
