Business Finland’s Low-carbon built environment export campaign is organizing a trade mission to Oslo, Norway. The purpose of the trade mission is to identify business collaboration opportunities for Finnish companies and get direct contacts in the Norwegian market. During this trade mission, Business Finland will organize presentations of the Norwegian construction market by key companies and clusters, sales pitch opportunities, individual B2B meetings and a networking event at the Finnish Embassy.

Norway is set to reduce climate gas emissions in the construction industry, which is one of the main contributors to emissions - 15% of the total - according to “National strategy for green, circular economy” published by the Norwegian authorities. The construction sector has been selected as one of seven main value chains to focus on to increase sustainability. Cutting climate gas emissions and improving energy efficiency of buildings and construction sites are on the agenda both when building new buildings and renovating existing ones. Sustainable materials are being sought for in all segments of construction. Digital solutions have potential for better utilization throughout the value chain. The public and residential sector projects, the latter including both homes and cabins, are leading the construction activity at current, whereas the commercial sector has been slowing down recently.

Solutions wanted in the Norwegian market include

  • Energy efficient solutions for new buildings
  • Energy renovation solutions for existing housing
  • Digital solutions
  • Solutions for dismantling buildings, recovering and reusing materials
  • Low-carbon building materials
  • Solutions for prefabrication of building elements to eliminate waste

Who should attend?
