As a part of China’s “30.60” carbon target, industrial parks are among the forefront and main targets in China`s decarbonization and green transition. China has about 230 National Economic and Technological Development Zones (NETDZs) under the Ministry of Commerce (MofCom), apart from other economic zones under different authorities. In October 2021, the MofCom specifically required the ‘NETDZs to take the lead in achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. Accounting for 11.5% of China’s GDP in 2020, the demand of NETDZs on green technologies will definitely generate a huge amount of business and investment opportunities.

The China-Finland Industrial Parks decarbonization Forum will be arranged in cooperation with Green Partnership of Industrial Parks (GPIPC) and will be supported by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. GPIPC is an organization dedicated to promoting decarbonization and green transition of the Chinese national level economic and technology development zones, with more than 230 NETDZ parks as members all across China.

For this event, GPIPC will invite 4 industrial parks as well as companies from the 4 parks from the Yangtze River delta region, Southeast China. The event includes two parts, a general pitching session and a business match-making session. Green industrial parks are a potential market not only for the energy sector, but also for others such as bio and circular economy, digitalization etc.

Business Finland China invites Finnish companies to participate in this hybrid event on Wednesday 19 October, 2022 at 09:00 - 12:00 (EET Finland) / 14:00 – 17:00 (CST China).
