United Arab Emirates has approved ambitious Circular Economy Policy which is a comprehensive framework for determining the country’s approach to achieving sustainable governance and the ideal use of natural resources, by adopting consumption and production methods that ensure the quality of life for current and future generations. The government has allocated budget to realize these steps.
Embassy of Finland in Abu Dhabi and Business Finland in co-operation with it’s partners have prepared a study regarding the latest updates in the UAE circular economy sector and business opportunities for Finnish companies in material recovery, waste treatment, recycling and composting. These include several subsectors such as textiles, plastics, batteries, packing materials recycling as well as industrial side streams utilization and digitalization.
