China is the home to the largest population of people with the age over 65. At the end of 2021, the total number of people over the age of 65 in China was about 200 million. It is expected that there would be about 550 million Chinese people over the age of 60 by 2050 accounting for more than one third of the total population.
Business Finland China together with Smart Life Finland program invite Finnish health tech companies interested in the Chinese AgeTech market to participate in a hybrid event on Monday 5 September, 2022 at 09:00 - 12:00 (EET Finland) / 14:00 – 17:00 (CST China). The hybrid event will be in parallel with China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), a state level influential annual event in China. The goal of the hybrid event is to promote Finnish offerings in medical and AgeTech industry to key authorities and leading industry companies in the sector.
The Chinese government has highlighted the importance of using technologies for the senior industry in a recently launched 14th Five-Year-Plan document. The event will shed light on how China plans to implement the strategy in a business environment, what the key drivers of different care home operators are, how financial investment would be able to help, who are to pay for value added services, and what the priorities of local governments are. Additionally, you will hear plans on how to tackle such a large ageing population and make a senior friendly society and how to provide better and longer term age care services for all.

Who should attend?
This event is aimed for Finnish health tech companies with AgeTech offerings targeted for care homes, communities, rehab centers, chronic diseases, and home care.

Please note that the event language is in English/Chinese, simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
Participation
Attendance at the hybrid event is free of charge, however, requires a pre-registration via the link on the left latest by 4 September, 2022. Kindly indicate if you will attend the event on-site or online.
This event will be held on-site at China National Convention Center, 7 Tianchen East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Online participants will receive a link to join the event in their e-mail one day prior to the event.
Business Finland will inform the registered companies if they have been selected by the Chinese counterpart to give a company pitch. All interested participants are welcome to join the Forum as on-site/online participants.
