This online matchmaking event aims to help innovation-driven Finnish companies to find potential partners or customers, and to establish solid R&D and business relationships between Finnish and Zhejiang companies for the annual joint innovation call and beyond.
Please note that only companies from Finland and Zhejiang can participate in this matchmaking event and joint innovation call.
This year’s call topics include but are not limited to the following areas:
1) Digitalization, Digital Transformation and Industrial Renewal.
2) Health and Wellbeing.
3) Smart and Sustainable Cities.
4) Bio and Circular Economy including Cleantech.
5) Sustainability with Energy and Environmental Protection.
6) Other areas as mutually agreed upon.
This online matchmaking event is prioritizing Health and Wellbeing, but other sectors are welcome if there is space available.
The deadline for the Finnish applicants regarding the call is 30 September 2022.

Zhejiang Province, located in the eastern coast of China, belongs to the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) area that is one of the most prosperous areas in China. Zhejiang’s estimated GDP of year 2021 is over 818 Billion Euro and it is rated #4 province in China. The key industries in Zhejiang in the 14th Five-Year Plan include ICT, bio-medicine & healthcare, smart manufacturing, new energy & environmental protection, and smart cities.
Over the past years, Business Finland has established effective frameworks to support Finland-Zhejiang innovation collaboration. We provide information sharing, organize innovation workshops, do matchmaking, give ideas for the projects and fund the most promising applications.

If your company is interested in participating the matchmaking event and giving a pitch talk, please register yourself with the attached link, select the option “I would like to give a pitch talk” and describe shortly (1) your company as well as your company’s solutions and innovations, (2) potential collaboration project idea/area and (3) the type of partner/competence you are looking for.
Alternatively, you can also participate as audience, so without pitching. In that case, register yourself with the option “I would like to participate as audience”.
Pitch talk registrations have the deadline 12 May 2022, while the audience registrations are due 7 June 2022.
Please note that only a limited number of Finnish companies can be selected from the companies that have registered as pitchers due the deadline. The selection of the Finnish companies will be done in collaboration with the Zhejiang Science & Technology Department representatives. Kindly note as well that this online matchmaking event is prioritizing the Health and Wellbeing area, but other areas are welcome in case there is space available.
The selection results will be communicated to the registered Finnish companies as soon as the decisions are made (at least one week before the event) together with more detailed instructions on preparing the pitch and participating the event. Those companies that will not be selected can participate as audience.
All those who have registered by the deadline will receive a link to join the event in the e-mail a few days prior to the event.
Attendance to the matchmaking event – either as pitcher or audience – is free of charge but requires registration.
Finnish companies that are operating in areas relevant to the joint innovation call topics (especially in the Health and Wellbeing area), driven by innovations, interested in the Chinese market and willing to work with local Zhejiang Province partners.
