Mr. Ville Skinnari, Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade will visit the Netherlands on 5-6 September, 2022 to attend the Africa Adaptation Summit.

The Netherlands is facing the single largest national challenge since the post war re-building. The country has lacked years behind in EU with emissions and circularity. Now The Netherlands has planned to turn itself into one of the European forerunners. The government has published various strategies to support tight climate targets, tighter than EU demands. Additionally, there are already numerous public-private partnerships and climate proof initiatives which go further than the requirements or plans of the Dutch government.

The green transition and highly ambitious targets create huge opportunities for Finnish companies in sustainability, circular economy, bio-economy, climate technology, low-carbon solutions, hydrogen technology, and digitalization.

Mr. Ville Skinnari, Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, will be visiting Rotterdam and Eindhoven on 5 - 6 September, 2022. The target is to promote co-operation on the sustainable 6 green transition, bring forwards the Finnish know-how, and support Finnish companies on their ongoing projects in the Netherlands. During his visit, the Minister will meet with his Dutch counterparts and other public authorities, Finnish companies active in the Netherlands and Dutch companies in technology and industry. If your company has interest in the Dutch market, kindly be in contact with Ms. Petra Wullings, Minister Skinnari is prepared to support Finnish companies in the fields of sustainable industrial and technological solutions, circular economy and green economy during his visit.
