Business Finland and the Embassy of Finland in Bucharest invite Finnish technology providers to join the upcoming waste management business visit to Romanian cities and counties. The visit has two major focus areas: 1) High-capacity waste and recycling collection; 2) Sustainable waste-to-energy experiences.
There is a pressing need for efficient waste management know how and collection, sorting and recycling infrastructure in Romania. To achieve EU-level targets in the waste management field, significant investments are planned, which creates a number of business opportunities for Finnish companies to contribute to development of the Romanian waste management system. For many of the cities and counties, the timing is just right to introduce them the Finnish offering, as projects are in an early stage of preparations.

To facilitate dialogue between key Romanian stakeholders and Finnish companies, Business Finland and the Embassy of Finland in Bucharest will arrange visits to 3 cities: Iasi, Timisoara and Constanta. Meetings will involve both-high level and expert-level decision makers in the waste management field, interested to get to know Finnish expertise and offering. The visits will provide participating companies with the opportunity to position their competences towards potential customers in Romania, gaining access to relevant local contacts and getting a deeper understanding of the Romanian needs.

Who should attend?
This visit is aimed for Finnish companies with offering in the field of waste collection and recycling, as well as waste-to-energy, interested to develop and grow their presence on the Romanian market.
Participation fee
To cover the expenses of arranging the business delegation program, Business Finland will charge a participation fee EUR 200 + 24% VAT per person.
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the delegation program.
