Team Finland network is organising a delegation visit to India, New Delhi and Mumbai, on 12-17 December 2022 with the focus on global talent acquisition and labour mobilisation.
India has the largest young workforce in the world and is the fastest growing economy today. The twin advantages for outsourcing talents from India are skills as well as proficiency in English language. It has a vast engineering workforce, a rapidly expanding startup scene, highly skilled financial and business services labour, and long traditions in service sector expertise. India is projected to have a skilled labour surplus of 245 million workers by 2030, and therefore India is at an advantageous position to become the world’s leading provider of world-class talent.
Indian experts are well known in the Finnish labour market, and already half of the international specialists in Finland come from India. Through systematic cooperation, we can further increase this successful concept in order to ease Finland’s shortage of talent.
Ms. Tuula Haatainen, Minister of Employment of Finland will visit India (New Delhi & Mumbai) with a Team Finland business delegation on 12-17 December 2022. The visit will connect key Finnish and Indian stakeholders operating in the global talent acquisition and labour mobilisation. The target of the visit is to pave the way for international recruitments between Finland and India, and to strengthen Finland’s image as a destination country for work- and study-based immigration.
This visit offers an excellent opportunity for Finnish companies in the recruitment industry to establish high-level connections with Indian governmental entities, as well as multinational companies and system integrators for increasing the mobility of experts, talents, and skilled labour. In addition to networking, the companies participating in the delegation will be able to learn about the Indian talent pools and gain visibility in India. The visit contributes to Finland’s recognition as an excellent destination country for studying and working.
This Team Finland visit is tailored for Finnish companies and organisations operating in recruitment industry as well as Finnish companies aiming to recruit talents or workforce from India.
During the visit, the delegation will also participate the Bombay Tech Fest with a joint Finland booth. Bombay Tech Fest is Asia’s largest science and technology festival and therefore offers a great opportunity for networking. The exhibition audience mainly consists of tech students and fresh talents.
