Mr. Antti Kurvinen, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland will visit Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi) with a Team Finland business delegation on 9–12 October, 2022.
The goal of the visit is to foster relations between the two countries, as well as offer an excellent opportunity for Finnish companies in the Food, Forestry and Water industries to establish high-level business connections with companies in Vietnam.
Vietnam has emerged as one of the great success stories among Asian emerging economies during the last 25 years. Thanks to its market-oriented economic reforms, the country has transitioned from one of the world's poorest nations to a lower middle-income country with an annual average GDP growth of 6.5%, and is set to be the fastest growing economy in South East Asia in 2022.
Finnish exports to Vietnam more than doubled between 2020 and 2021. The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, effective since 2020, has further propelled the trade relations between Finland and Vietnam. Finland is known as a forerunner in technology and innovation in Vietnam, which lays the foundation for Finnish companies to gain stronger foothold in many critical sectors including Food, Forestry and Water.

The visit is targeted at Finnish companies operating in Food, Forestry and Water industries with key interests or activities in Vietnam. Vietnam not only is one of the most dynamic markets but also serves as a gateway to South East Asia. Practicalities
To cover the expenses of arranging the program in Vietnam, Business Finland will charge a maximum participation fee of:
- Major companies: EUR 2200 + 24% VAT per person
- SME's and Micro businesses: EUR 1870 + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Business Finland reserves the right to reconsider the offer / cancel the visit if less than 10 companies are to join the delegation. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the participant nor meals outside the business delegation program.
