Business Finland trade mission to Savannah, Georgia, the United States to meet with the American Port industry and visit to Port of Savannah, Georgia Port Authority 28-29 March, 2023.
Business Finland’s Smart Green Ports USA Export Booster is organizing a trade mission to the Port & Terminal Technology Conference & Exhibition in Savannah, Georgia on 28-29 March, 2023. The Export Booster’s focus is on creating new contacts for the Finnish port technology industry and increasing Finnish export to the North American port terminals and ship operators.
Georgia Port Authority is investing in new technology, new cranes and berth enhancements, increasing container handling capacity and expanding gate facilities. The aim of the trade mission is to meet with the management and directors responsible for port technology. The target of the meetings is to learn about the current and upcoming port upgrade and modernization projects, local content requirements, national grants, and programs, opportunity to meet with the decision makers and present Finnish companies’ products and solutions to the technical decision makers.
MCIMedia will organize The Port & Terminal Technology Conference & Exhibition on 28-29 March, 2023 in Savannah, Georgia. Business Finland will have a stand at the exhibition with an aim to do marketing of Smart and Green Port technologies from Finland. During the exhibition, we will be organizing introductory meetings with decision makers at local ports and port operators. Read more about why Savannah and the Conference.
The participants of the trade mission are requested to register themselves to the MCIMedia Conference & Exhibition. The registration is mandatory, in order to take part in the trade mission’s meetings at the exhibition. The registration options to the event are Delegate or Exhibition Space, please register yourself as Delegate. The fee for participating in the event as a Delegate is £740.00 GBP after Thursday December 1, 2022 or £800.00 GBP after Friday March 24, 2023. Please note that this is an additional fee, which is not part of the participation fee for the trade mission.

Who should attend?
This onsite visit is aimed for Finnish companies and research organizations whose focus is smart and green port technologies, connectivity, digitalization or solutions for container and bulk ports.
We welcome Finnish companies traveling from Finland to the US that are pursuing business opportunities in the US. Finnish companies’ local representatives in the US are also welcome to join the trade mission.
We are closely following the Covid-19 travel restrictions and upcoming changes related to them. Kindly note that all delegates are required to have proof of two vaccinations to be able to take part in the visit program.
Practicalities & Participation fee
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit, Business Finland will charge a participation fee.
- Micro Businesses and SMEs: 425 EUR + 24% VAT per person
- Major Companies: 500 EUR + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above.
