Latin America's largest economy by nominal GDP, Brazil offers a unique set of business opportunities for foreign companies operating in the aerospace, defence, security, and space industry.
LAAD, the largest and most important defence and security trade fair and exhibition in Latin America is held on 11–14 April, 2023 in Rio de Janeiro. The event is held every two years and it brings together key stakeholders from the defence industry.
The last edition had over 130 official delegations and 450 private firms showcasing their expertise and technology solutions. This year fair is expected to be the largest one in many years, after the COVID-19 outbreak.
Team Finland network together with the Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (AFDA) is organizing a Business Delegation visit to Brazil on 10–13/14 April, 2023. Participating in the Team Finland visit will give an unique opportunity to meet relevant Brazilian companies and officials. The visit is led by Mr. Esa Pulkkinen, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence.
Who should attend?
The delegation visit are aimed for Finnish companies already present in Brazil, those actively pursuing Brazil as strategic market or partner, and those representing Finnish flagship solutions and technologies in:
- aerospace, defence, security,
- space companies specializing: land, naval, new space economy, situational awareness, mission critical communications,
- cyber security industries.
Participation fee
To cover the expenses of arranging the delegation program in Brazil, Business Finland will charge a maximum participation fee of:
Micro businesses and SMEs: EUR 1650 + 24% VAT per person
Major companies: EUR 1900 + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the delegation program.
