Get inspired by architectural trends from Finland and Germany, learn about frameworks and conditions for wood construction from Finnish and German experts, and meet key players in the field of sustainable wood construction.

EU directives and government targets for carbon neutrality have created new requirements for sustainability in buildings. Consequently, wood – and its potential climate-friendly and resource-efficient construction – is increasingly receiving attention in the building and architecture sectors.

The event will feature

  • Keynotes: Wood Construction: Challenges and Chances. Learn about regulatory frameworks and conditions for wood construction in Finland and Germany from Finnish and German experts.
  • Best practice: Current architectural trends and outstanding wood construction projects will be presented by selected Finnish and German keynote speakers.
  • Networking lunch: Get to know stakeholders of the wood construction sector in an exciting venue: The Felleshus, the cultural center and event venue of the five Nordic embassies (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) in Berlin.
  • Exclusive 1:1 meetings: You will have the chance to speak directly to participating Finnish companies. We offer the option to book individual short meetings to take place after the lunch. You can choose this option when registering for the event.
