Christian Fadi El-Khouri is a lifelong medical tourism professional, industry influencer and public speaker with over 10 years of executive international experience in medical tourism, international patient services and healthcare. He was introduced to the industry from a young age, growing up in Germany's first and oldest medical tourism facilitator. After initiating a consulting branch at their family-owned business, he has advised on numerous projects from establishing international patient services at hospitals to cross-border joint ventures and implementing telemedicine for international medical service providers.
Nima Jokilaakso, PhD, Senior Advisor at Business Finland, has an extensive experience from the health care and life science industries in Sweden, promoting nowadays the growth of Finnish SME-companies in the Swedish market. The increased healthcare costs and long queues have increased interest in Sweden for procuring healthcare services from private operators. Challenges in the country´s public healthcare system leading to long waiting times in specialized care have also increased patients' interest in cross-border healthcare.
