Call has ended!

Is innovation collaboration with the European top manufacturing industry interesting? We encourage you to profit of the SMART EUREKA Cluster Call, deadline for the Project Outline proposals is 14 Dec 2020. Business Finland's program Sustainable Manufacturing Finland invites Finnish organisations to engage in our thematic topics, especially digitalisation.

SMART EUREKA's call is open and international consortia are invited to submit their applications (Project Outline) by 14 December 2020 at 11.

EUREKA is a platform for cross-border industrial R&D collaboration. EUREKA enables flexible and agile funding of cross-border projects. The Eureka Clusters are initiatives of European industry and a vehicle of national support to European top innovation. Business Finland supports Finnish organisations who want to participate in this year's Smart Eureka Call.

The application will be submitted by the coordinating partner of the consortium. Each other partner fills their own share. The application will be evaluated by SMART EUREKA evaluators, both in an industry board and in a public funding board (Business Finland participates). The joint criteria relate to technology, market prospects and competitiveness.

Business Finland can fund Finnish partners in the consortia. The consortia shall have participants from two or more of the call countries, typically a small number from each. Minimum 1+1. The funding rules are national. In Finland, it means the "co-innovation" criteria, if a research organisation or a university is in the group. The projects will compete with other applications presented to Business Finland in 2021, so no specific allocation is reserved for the call. Finnish organisations preparing participation are advised to contact Business Finland before the Smart Eureka application is submitted.

The Call is closing on 14 December 2020 and the target is to inform those who will be invited to the Stage 2 in January 2021. Finnish participants will submit their individual and confidential application to Business Finland a bit later, upon request.
