The international EUREKA network has opened a call for joint R&D projects with Kenya. In this call, Finnish partners can apply for funding for R&D and innovation collaborations with partner(s) from Kenya. Each project consortium must include at least one enterprise from one of the Eureka member countries participating in the call and a research organization combined with a company from Kenya.
In the context of Eureka Globalstars, the national innovation funding agencies in Kenya, Austria, Belgium (Flanders), France, Finland, Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Spain have opened a call for collaborative projects with Kenyan partners. Call invites consortia to apply high quality R&D projects within all technology fields. However, the participating countries in particular welcome project proposals in the fields of sustainability and health.

Finnish partners in project consortia may apply for funding from Business Finland. The applications must meet both the international Eureka criteria (the section Eligibility at the Call Web Pages), and the national funding criteria of Business Finland. For Finnish partners Business Finland applies normal national funding rates, individually defined for each partner based on its status (SME, large company, university, etc).
All Finnish applicants need to contact Business Finland well in advance to the deadline. The Call contact persons (names attached) will also give advice regards the filing of national applications for funding at Business Finland.
The international consortia need to file their joint applications before the deadline 30.4.2023 through the Eureka application portal. The joint projects are expected to start early in 2024, and the whole application process is described more in detail in the sections How to apply and Evaluation on the call webpages.
