This hybrid matchmaking event aims to help innovation-driven Finnish companies to find potential partners or customers, and to establish solid R&D and business relationships between companies from Finland and Jiangsu for the annual joint innovation call and beyond.

- Other fields both sides agree to fund
This hybrid matchmaking event is prioritizing the Carbon Reduction & Circular Economy and Digital Health & Agetech areas, but other areas are welcome in case there is space available.
The deadline for the Finnish applicants regarding the call is 22 September 2023.

Info on the jiangsu province and why one should be interested in it
Jiangsu Province, located in the eastern coast of China, belongs to the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) area that is one of the most prosperous areas in China. Jiangsu’s estimated GDP of year 2022 was around 1700 Billion Euro and is rated among the top 3 provinces in China. Over the past years, Business Finland has established effective frameworks to support Finland-Jiangsu innovation collaboration. We provide information sharing, organize innovation workshops, do matchmaking, give ideas for the projects and fund the most promising applications. Pitching registrations have the deadline of 24 April 2023, while the audience registrations are due 15 May 2023 (on-site) and 24 May 2023 (online).
Please note that only a limited number of Finnish companies can be selected from the companies that have registered as pitchers due to the deadline. The selection of the Finnish companies will be done in collaboration with the Jiangsu Science & Technology Department representatives. Kindly note as well that this hybrid matchmaking event is prioritizing the Carbon Reduction & Circular Economy and Digital Health & Agetech areas, but other areas are welcome in case there is space available.
The selection results will be communicated to the registered Finnish companies as soon as the decisions are made (by default due the end of the first week of May) together with more detailed instructions on preparing the pitch and participating the event. Those companies that will not be selected can participate as audience.
All those who have registered by the deadlines will receive a link to join the event in the e-mail prior to the event. Attendance to the matchmaking event – either as pitcher or audience – is free of charge.

Finnish companies that are operating in areas relevant to the joint innovation call topics (especially in the Carbon Reduction & Circular Economy and Digital Health & Agetech areas), driven by innovations, interested in the Chinese market and willing to work with local Jiangsu Province partners.
