Foodex Japan 2023 will take place in Tokyo 7-10 March. In addition to Finland pavilion, Food from Finland will also organize a networking and buyer meeting pre-event at the Finnish Embassy for the participants. Welcome to participate with Food from Finland.
The fee and what it includes
Participation fee per company is 9 900€ + VAT
The Fee includes:
- Space rental
- Planning, construction and dismantling of the pavilion
- Graphic design and production, furniture and other decoration
- TV screen possible with additional cost
- Storage space for warm and cold items, cold vitrine at booth possible with additional cost
- Running costs such as electricity, water, cleaning, and all the small equipment needed such as kitchen utensils and tasting cups
- Assistance of Japanese interprets
The fee does not include freight.
Business Finland staff will also be present at the pavilion during FOODEX.
Pre-event for Finnish Foodex participants
Food from Finland will organize at the Finnish Embassy in Tokyo a networking and buyer meeting pre-event on March 6th. The target of the event is to create interest of Japanese guest to Finnish products and visit Finland pavilion at FOODEX. Previous years we have had over 100 Japanese guests assisting this event.
Registration to Foodex
The registration to FOODEX will open on September 28 , 2022 at 09:00 AM and will close on December 15, 2022.
Places for exhibitors will be shared in order of registration. We reserve the right to changes – the registrations are binding!
Please note our cancellation policy
Cancellation fee is 50% of the participation cost after binding registration. Cancellation fee is 100% of the participation cost if cancelled less than 90 days before the beginning of the trade fair.

Exhibition Explorer
The Exhibition Explorer funding is aid for participation in international B2B trade fairs held outside Finland. The funding is aimed at SMEs and midcap enterprises that pursue growth and internationalization. A company can have a presence at the trade fair at a joint stand or its own, separate stand.
The prerequisite for funding is for at least four Finnish SMEs or midcap enterprises to apply for Explorer Exhibition funding for the same trade fair. At least half of the aforementioned group of enterprises must be SMEs.
About FOODEX 2023
FOODEX JAPAN is the Asia's largest exhibition dedicated on food and drink across Japan and the whole world. Over the 4 days of the exhibition, about 85,000 buyers from food service, distribution, and trading companies are expected to attend.
FOODEX has been a great success for Finnish brands in previous years. In 2023, FOODEX will be relocated from Makuhari to Tokyo Big Sight, an exhibition center closer to central Tokyo.
One of the focus area at FOODEX 2023 is plant based food. The FOODEX organizer is promoting to plant based food players for attending the exhibition, more information will follow.
