Companies are gaining momentum in Ukraine's reconstruction
Russia’s full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine has continued for four and a half years. The country’s reconstruction needs, already exceeding €500 billion, continue to grow. Although conditions in Ukraine remain difficult, there is a strong determination to build a more modern and secure country.

European companies and organizations have strengthened their ties with Ukraine. Interest among Finnish companies in Ukraine’s reconstruction has also grown significantly.
“Since spring 2023, the Team Finland network has advised around 800 companies on Ukraine’s reconstruction market,” says Jyrki Härkki, Senior Advisor at Business Finland.
According to Härkki, companies in the construction, energy and defense sectors have been the most active.
"The needs of the defense and security sector are still enormous: about 60% of the Ukrainian state budget goes to them," Härkki says.
For example, according to a recent news release by the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), market assessments have already been carried out for more than 100 Finnish companies through the Pro Ukraine project.
ReBuild Ukraine 2026 in Poland
Since 2023, Finland has been one of the best-represented countries at ReBuild Ukraine, the exhibition and conference in Warsaw focusing on energy, infrastructure and construction solutions. This year’s ReBuild Ukraine will take place on 12–13 November. TSEG, which organizes the Finland Pavilion, is offering exhibition stands to Finnish companies. Business Finland and other Team Finland organizations will also participate in the event.
“In addition, together with the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we will organize a side event on the evening of 11 November 2026, offering an opportunity to network with Ukrainian stakeholders. Further details about the side event will be provided later,” says Jyrki Härkki.
