Evaluation of funding applications

The funding granted by Business Finland is discretionary and the funding applications compete with each other for funding. When deciding on funding, we evaluate both the applicant organisation and the project. Some of Business Finland's funding calls are fixed-term, while others are continuous.

Different funding services are intended for different purposes and for different customer groups. In funding applications , the evaluation criteria are defined by which applications are evaluated.  

Business Finland's funding terms and conditions apply to all funding granted by Business Finland. In the terms and conditions, you can see what costs Business Finland can fund, how the costs of the project are monitored and how the progress of the project is reported.

What information is requested in the application? 

The company's eligibility for financing is checked when making the funding decision. Information about the company must always be provided in connection with the application, even if the company has projects that have already received funding.

Be prepared to answer the questions below and read the mandatory appendices of the application. These are the questions you will be asked in the online service when you are making a funding application. Business Finland may request more detailed information if the information provided in the funding application is not sufficient for making a funding decision.
