As part of the Sustainable Growth Program for Finland Business Finland opens a call for proposals for Finnish companies to participate in the new ME-CT IPCEI.
The Sustainable Growth Program for Finland is funded with the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
Europe is aiming for leadership in climate and digital actions. The European industry is greatly affected by the green transition, the digital transition and global competition. Microelectronics and connectivity are the enabling technologies that play an important role behind all these themes. A total of 22 European countries have signed a common declaration "A European Initiative on Processors and semiconductor technologies" to promote these critical value chains and ecosystems. The declaration has resulted in a German led dialogue aiming for strengthening the microprocessor and other semiconductor component design and production capabilities in Europe via a new IPCEI in microelectronics and connectivity.
This national Finnish call is directed to Finnish companies aiming for a direct partner role in the new IPCEI. The proposals selected as the Finnish candidates for the IPCEI will have a significant impact and the companies have a clear role as part of the European microelectronics and connectivity value chain and ecosystem.
